TEENAGER Danny Chetwynd has rejoined Oldham RL Club after completing his first-year studies at Durham University.
The 18-year-old winger, formerly with Rochdale RU Club, impressed for Roughyeds reserves last year, but left the club in early autumn to go to Durham.
“He’s linked up with us again to the end of the season and we’re delighted to have him back,” confirmed reserves coach John Hough, Chetwynd is included in a 20-strong squad for Saturday’s Under-23s Reserves Championship clash with Whitehaven at the Whitebank (2.30pm kick off).
Hough has coached the club’s second team to third place in the division on the back of nine wins and one draw from 13 outings and a run of five wins and a draw in the last six.
“Whitehaven are just behind us in the league and they will be doing all they can to close us down,” said Hough.
“However, we have shown already this year that we can beat anybody if we apply the right fundamentals and play to the best of our ability."
The squad is also strengthened by the return, after an ankle injury, of prop Danny Langtree, who was enjoying a superb spell of form before he was injured. Final selection will be made at training tonight.
