First stop Oldham
Date published: 10 February 2012
OLDHAM RL Club are due to begin their Northern Rail Cup campaign on Sunday when they take on Featherstone Rovers at Whitebank (3pm kick-off).
Tony Benson’s side go into the group stages on the back of a difficult pre-season, in which the Law Cup against Rochdale Hornets was cancelled and a warm-up at Featherstone fell foul to the icy weather.
Should the game go ahead — a pitch inspection takes place at 10am on Sunday — Benson may give Paul Noone, Neil Roden and Lucas Onyango a chance to get much-needed match time.
Contact the club on (0161) 6283677 or visit www.roughyeds.co.uk for inspection updates.
