Benson wants more spirit

OLDHAM RL coach Tony Benson will be looking for a positive reaction from his players in Sunday’s Northern Rail Cup trip to South Wales Scorpions.
It follows Wednesday night’s 68-0 battering at the hands of Featherstone Rovers at Whitebank, in the first group game of the tournament.
Benson questioned the desire of some of his charges, who trailed 14-0 at the interval before a second half collapse.
Neil Roden, Lucas Onyango and Paul Ballard all hope to keep hold of their jerseys after making their first appearances of the campaign last time out.
