Paul Noone: feared the worst
PAUL Noone has spoken of the sickening moment at London Skolars on Sunday when he thought he had broken his leg.
“I heard a crack and I was sure the fibula was fractured,” said the Oldham RL forward.
“My lower leg went numb and I thought, ‘That’s it, then’.”
It was only when physiotherapist Rachael Johnson was able to straighten his leg that he knew the injury wasn’t as serious as he feared.
Hospital X-rays revealed severely damaged ankle ligaments.
It isn’t known how long he will be out, but the former Warrington and Barrow back-row man is hoping it will be no more than three weeks.
