NEW boy Jamie Acton may make his senior Oldham debut in tomorrow night’s Challenge Cup-tie at St Helens.
The 19-year-old Londoner, formerly with Wigan Warriors, is included in a 19-man Roughyeds squad which will be cut to 17 and a reserve at training tonight.
A second-row forward or centre, cage-fighter Acton is contracted to Oldham until November 30.
He has a good chance of making the cut given that regular second-row men Paul Noone and Paul Smith are both out injured. See also Page 33.
Winger Lucas Onyango (hamstring and knee) has also failed a fitness test, while 36-year old stand-off Graham Holroyd will not be risked after he picked up a slight knock to an ankle in the 20-20 draw at London Skolars.
Squad replacements for Noone, Smith, Onyango and Holroyd are Mark Brocklehust, David Cookson, Acton, Liam Gilchrist and Bruce Johnson.
TICKETS for the tie are available at the Roughyeds office in Lansdowne Road, Chadderton until 3pm tomorrow.
