Still lots to play for, says Foxen
Date published: 10 July 2012
WITH six games left, Oldham RL new boy Rob Foxen believes Roughyeds can still give fans plenty to shout about.
The winger will make his home debut against London Skolars on Sunday (3pm), having joined on loan from Swinton and having played his first game in Oldham colours at Whitehaven.
He made a big impact on the right wing, earning the plaudits of Roughyeds boss Tony Benson and his Whitehaven counterpart Don Gailer.
“Eighteen points are still up for grabs. That’s a lot of rugby, so there’s still plenty to play for, including a place in the top-six play-offs.
“My game is all about running and trying to make life as difficult as possible for defences.”
Foxen supplements his income from rugby league by doing part-time Super League statistical work for Sky Sports.
