Oldham seek Foxen loan extension
Date published: 25 July 2012
OLDHAM RL are stepping up their efforts to keep on-loan winger Rob Foxen.
He came initially for one month, which has now expired.
During that time the strong-running Swinton Lions winger has played against Whitehaven, London Skolars and South Wales Scorpions, achieving two wins.
The 24-year-old former Salford City Reds man would like to see out the season at Whitebank.
If he is to play in the Roughyeds' remaining four league games and perhaps the play-offs, however, Oldham will have to negotiate a loan extension.
The club will want to complete a deal to allow Foxen can play against already-promoted league leaders Barrow Raiders at Craven Park on August 5.
Roughyeds chairman Chris Hamilton onfirmed talks are also underway about the immediate futures of dual-registered pair Daniel Smith and Colton Roche, whose agreements run out at the end of the month.
Full-back Miles Greenwood’s availability to play seems no longer in doubt: his wife Joanne finally delivered his new son, Myli John, on Monday.
