Benson dons Oxford colours
Date published: 19 September 2012
FORMER Leigh and Oldham RL coach Tony Benson will be in charge of Oxford in their first season in Championship One.
The Kiwi, sacked by Roughyeds, will run a new team to semi-pro rugby, which takes one of four vacancies left by teams moving up a league without corresponding relegations.
An announcement of the new Oldham coach is imminent; chairman Chris Hamilton has spoken to several candidates.
