Oldham draw up wish list
Date published: 02 October 2012
OLDHAM Rugby League Club is talking contracts with players old and new.
Chris Hamilton and Scott Naylor last night began working through a list of players they would like to sign for 2013.
It includes many of last season’s team.
“We’ve started to offer deals,” said chairman Hamilton.
“We’ve got long days and nights ahead of us and lots of meetings. It’s the same every year because players sign deals for one year only.”
In Oldham’s case the exception is club captain and stand-off Neil Roden, who is in the middle of a two-year contract and the only player so far certain for next season.
Hamilton added: “We know who we want, but we will be fortunate if we land everybody we want. The situation is always changing and so is your wish list.”
