Death of ex-Oldham player

JACK Taylor, who scored six tries in 89 appearances for Oldham RL, has died after a short illness. He was 88.
He made his debut for the club at the age of 16 against Broughton Rangers in October, 1940. His rugby league career was put on hold during the war.
Jack returned to play for Oldham after the war and was in the team which faced the touring New Zealanders in October, 1947..
Jack leaves four sons, all rugby league players. The funeral is at Radcliffe Crematorium on Tuesday.
