SUPPORTERS dipped into their pockets to help Oldham RL Club re-sign half-back Jamie Dallimore.
The helping hand from the “Squad Strengthener” fund of club supporters’ association ORSA followed similar assistance last season for Miles Greenwood and Rob Foxen.
Oldham chairman Chris Hamilton said: “They came to our assistance last season and they expressed a wish to help us again. It is an extremely positive way people can support the club and one which we hope will continue to grow and thus become even more influential.”
ORSA chairman Nigel Marland, the man behind Squad Strengthener, said “significant” contributions from two new backers of the scheme boosted the latest donation.
He added: “We were helping to fund the Foxen deal but when he was recalled by Swinton we were left with money in the kitty. We used that, plus the contributions from our two new backers, to enable the club to re-sign Jamie.”
