OLDHAM trio Adam Files (left), Phil Joy and Kenny Hughes make sure Stuart Reardon goes to ground at the Racecourse.
OLDHAM RL became the first side this season to take a bonus point off Championship One leaders North Wales Crusaders at The Racecourse.
In three previous Championship One games at the Wrexham venue, Crusaders have totalled 162 points against London Skolars, Gateshead and Gloucester All Golds.
Roughyeds kept them to their second lowest score in seven league outings, 22, and scored more points against them - 20 - than any other club in that time.
“I always knew they were a good, well-coached team, but I thought they were magnificent,” said Crusaders boss Clive Griffiths.
Roughyeds stay third in Kingstone Press Championship One thanks to the bonus point, which pushes Tony Benson’s Oxford down to fourth.
Rochdale have gone second courtesy of their big win at Oxford, but Oldham are only a point behind with a slightly better for-and-against difference.
Oldham’s Mo Agoro hobbled out of The Racecourse with a damaged ankle. He will be assessed at training tomorrow.
“It doesn’t feel too bad,” said the winger. “I’m hoping to be okay for the long trek to South Wales Scorpions.”
The try Adam Files scored in the second half extended his try-a-game consistency to eight matches.
