Short and sweet for Reds forward

Salford City Reds forward Jordan Walne - who played for Oldham last weekend - has gone to Workington Town on loan.
It was a move that disappointed Oldham boss Scott Naylor, who was impressed by Walne’s part in Oldham’s 26-18 win over Hemel Stags.
One of Naylor’s options to cover for the injured Jason Boults was to stick with Walne on dual registration.
Roughyeds suffered two more setbacks last night: when Anthony Bowman pulled out of
training with a shoulder injury, ad later when Liam Thompson suffered a gash that needed stitches.
Naylor said: “We went months without mishap and now we’ve had two training injuries in a week.”
Naylor had one good-news story: winger Mo Agoro’s ankle injury is healing well and he may be fit for Sunday’s game at Gateshead.
Hooker Sam Gee, who had an outstanding game against Hemel, is one of three Roughyeds players in the mythical Premier Sports Championship One team of the week, alongside Richard Lepori on the right wing and Lewis Palfrey at stand-off.
