Surgery for Liam after clash of heads
Date published: 17 March 2014
Oldham loose-forward Liam Thompson will undergo surgery this week to repair three fractures near his eye socket and upper cheekbone.
The club’s medical staff expect Thompson (22) to be out for a couple of months. He was injured in a clash of heads with Kenny Hughes during the game with Hemel Stags at Whitebank. Also out for two or three weeks is centre David Cookson, who has a groin problem.
