So proud of team effort

The Roughyeds skipper writes every week for Chron Sport
IT feels a slightly strange thing to write, but we played well against Bradford in the Tetley’s Challenge Cup even though the scoreline was 60-6 in the Bulls’ favour.
But, with the effort and commitment we showed, I was proud to be part of our special group at Oldham.
Bradford were always going to be bigger, fitter, faster and stronger than than their part-time opponents.
But one thing they didn’t do, is out-enthuse us.
There is so many lessons we can learn from the game and it is so important we carry those into the rest of our season in Championship One.
Next up in the league is Gateshead Thunder at home on Sunday.
They are a different outfit to last year. They have brought in Stanley Gene as coach and I can imagine he is the type of person you would run through brick walls for.
But if our forwards repeat the level of intensity they displayed last weekend, we should be alright.
