RUGBY:
TOUCH rugby, one of the world’s fastest-growing forms of the sport, is coming to Oldham.
Oldham Rugby League Club has become a licensee of the RFL’s nationwide “Play Touch Rugby League” initiative, which is open to anyone aged 14 or over.
Starting on June 11, Touch Rugby League will be played every Wednesday (7pm-9pm) at Oasis Academy Oldham in Hollins Road.
Oldham RLFC already has a close association with Oasis Academy, whose facilities are used for training.
Team and individual bookings are available, and as numbers grow leagues will be built.
A club spokesman said: “Touch Rugby League is an exciting and fun way for people to enjoy sport and socialise.”
