Naylor pleased with progress

WHILE Oldham were winning their seventh out of eight games, Hunslet Hawks were slipping to a home defeat by Gloucester.
Roughyeds now boast fewer defeats — two — than any other team in Championship One, as well as being the only side with an unbeaten home record.
“So far, so good,” said coach Scott Naylor in the aftermath of an eight-try triumph at Oxford which opens up a four-point gap between York and Oldham at the top, both on 33 points and Hunslet in third.
“I’ve got to be pleased with a win like this after a long coach journey and against a side that always raises its game against us,” said Naylor.
“We weren’t at our best, but we never looked like losing.
“We have an exceptionally tough July and we’ll have to find consistency so we can be at our best in every game.”
