AFTER five successive grand final defeats, Oldham’s rugby team bids to have its place in the sun at Headingley on Sunday. If there is any justice, this will finally be Roughyeds’ turn!
Oldham have a recent victory over final opponents Hunslet to their credit - a 25-24 win in the play-offs. They also beat Hunslet 24-23 at Whitebank during the season.
These contests were mighty close - and it promises to be another cliffhanger for the fans of both sides. The bookies make Oldham 4-5 favourites and Hunslet evens. Go for it Oldham! We are all behind you.
WIGAN are hot favourites to win another grand final, in the Super League. The Warriors are evens favourite to prevail in the final at Old Trafford, with fellow semi-finalists St Helens and Warrington sharing second favouritism on 100-30 and Catalan Dragons rank outsiders at 11s.
