HIGHLY-RATED second-row pair Josh Crowley and Danny Langtree swept the board at Oldham Rugby League Club’s 2014 season awards night.

Coach Scott Naylor said he couldn’t split them so they were named joint players of the year.

Crowley (23) also lifted the supporters’ top-player trophy, sponsored by the Oldham Roughyeds’ Supporters’ Association (ORSA) and presented by its chairman, John McAndrew. Langtree in turn was voted players’ player of the year.

Of his star back-rowers - signed for Roughyeds for another year despite interest from oher clubs - Naylor said: “It would have been totally unfair to name one of them above the other. They both had a fantastic 2014 season. To be rarely substituted and to play for 80 minutes of every game at such a consistently high level takes some beating.”

For dedication to her job “over and above the call of duty”, masseuse Beth Pankiw was named club-person of the year by chairman Chris Hamilton.

The Rev Tony Ford was named “unsung hero” for his pastoral work among players, staff and supporters.
