Giants aces happy to help

JODIE Broughton has revealed that Huddersfield Giants players are relishing their club’s partnership with Oldham.
The ex-Salford winger scored two tries on his dual-reg debut in the Roughyeds’ 32-10 cup win at Barrow and was the eighth Giants player to wear an Oldham jersey since pre-season friendlies.
“The Giants boys are more than happy to do their bit, and now I know why,” said 27-year-old Broughton.
“It was a great win at Barrow. I enjoyed the whole Oldham experience, just as I was assured I would by Scott Grix, Michael Lawrence and Kyle Wood.
“It was a big help in my case because I knew a lot of the Oldham lads from our Salford days. It was a bit like turning back the clock.”
Giants boss Paul Anderson said: “The challenge for my boys when they go over there is to buy into the Oldham culture and to be happy to play wherever Scott Naylor wants them to play.”
Oldham have confirmed Sunday’s fourth-round Ladbrokes Challenge Cup tie away to Sheffield Eagles will be played at the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster, kick-off 3pm.
Only junior season tickets will be valid. Admission prices are £15 adults; £11 over-60s and young adults aged 17 to 20); £5 for juniors 16 and under; free for under-5s.
