Changes yield same result for Oldham

SCOTT Naylor had plenty of reasons to be “pleased” by the way Oldham played in a runaway win down in South Wales.
He made changes that worked well; his young side ran in 10 tries; and by scoring 50 points they leap-frogged Keighley to go top of Kingstone Press League One.
Happy in his side’s start to the season, Naylor said: “We played with efficiency, scored some nice tries and played some attractive rugby. We had worked on a few new things during the days leading up to the game and. of those, I liked what I saw, I really did.
“It isn’t easy travelling all that way and then getting yourself up for a game. But we handled it professionally, as demonstrated by the way we started off with four tries in the first 23 minutes.
“I made a few changes because I wanted to look at different aspects of our play. What it showed is that we have boys all over the squad who can come in and do just as good a job as the lads who don’t play.”
