SKIPPER Lewis Palfrey is expected to lead Oldham as usual at Barrow tomorrow (6.30pm) after recovering from a dead leg.
He trained normally last night and is included in a 19-man squad which will be striving to inflict Barrow’s first Kingstone Press League One defeat at Craven Park after their hefty wins against Swinton (50-12) and South Wales Scorpions (86-0).
Sam Gee is unavailable, so the squad comprises the other 16 who played against Gloucester, plus Steve Roper, Kenny Hughes and Adam Clay.
Coach Scott Naylor said: “I’ll be making changes. Nobody deserves to lose out — it’s not a case of that — but I’ll be picking the side I believe to be the one that’s best equipped to go head to head with Barrow.
“There might well be more changes again next week when Newcastle Thunder come to Whitebank.”
Centre Chris Hankinson, on loan from Leigh, is doubtful for Barrow with a sternum injury, while winger Lee Haney is battling to overcome a tight hamstring.
The Raiders are hopeful that centre Max Wiper might be back to replace Hankinson after being out for a month with a knee ligament injury.
