Briscoe blow for Oldham

CRAIG BRISCOE
CRAIG Briscoe is out of Sunday’s Law Cup derby clash with Rochdale Hornets at Spotland.
Oldham’s new back-row forward hurt a knee in the first few minutes of the Roughyeds’ 22-0 win at Barrow. The ligament damage isn’t believed serious, but he will fight to be ready for the opening game of the new season on Sunday week.
Though other players picked up bumps and bruises at Craven Park, they will all be ready for the first Law Cup duel since 2013.
While Naylor’s men were winning at Barrow last Sunday, Rochdale produced an impressive show to win 30-24 at Swinton.
OLDHAM will arrange a 70-seat bus to carry fans from Whitebank to each home game this season. The bus will be heavily subsidised and the return trip will cost only £1.50.
To avoid disappointment, fans must book in advance for each home game on 07904 898177 (9am-5pm. Mon-Fri)
