TERRIFIC Oldham scored seven tries as they got off the mark in the Kingstone Press Championship in style.
After defeats to full-time professional outfits London Broncos and Leigh Centurions in their opening two games of the league season, the Roughyeds locked horns with Dewsbury Rams at Bower Fold.
Scott Naylor’s Oldham side were always in the ascendancy, racing into a 24-0 lead at half-time.
Although, Dewsbury got on the board in the second period, the Roughyeds added 14 more points to their impressive tally in front of 816 spectators.
Gareth Owen and Danny Langtree both went over twice for Oldham, while Michael Ward, Tom Ashton and Adam Clay scored one apiece. Skipper Lewis Palfrey kicked five goals.
For Dewsbury, Dalton Grant (two) and Jack Teanby touched down, with Ben Reynolds and Paul Sykes landing the goals.
