Swinton Lions 28, Oldham RL 18
AFTER conceding 24 unanswered points in the first half, Oldham RL left themselves far too much to do as they slipped to a 28-18 defeat at Swinton Lions in the Kingstone Press Championship.
Scott Naylor's side replied through tries from Danny Grimshaw, Adam Files and Jon Ford - skipper Lewis Palfrey kicked three goals - but the damage had already been done.
Connor Dywer (two), Rhodri Lloyd, Chris Atkin and Corbyn Kilday went over for Swinton, with Atkin landing four goals in front of 823 people at Heywood Road.
