Briscoe injury worry

CRAIG Briscoe will see a specialist tomorrow about the knee injury he picked up in Sunday's game with Workington Town.
It was to the same knee that has caused the Oldham back-row forward to miss most of the season, but it's not thought to be the same problem.
"It clearly needs further investigation. We'll know more when he has seen the specialist, who may want him to have a scan," said coach Scott Naylor.
Richard Lepori, who suffered a gashed hand in the previous game with Workington on July 24, will again miss out when Roughyeds play Swinton Lions at Sale RU Club on Sunday, but prop Jack Spencer, out for several weeks with a shoulder injury, might be back.
"He's training again so, hopefully, he will be available," added Naylor, who confirmed that Adam Clay got through last Sunday's fiercely-fought battle with Town without further damage to the shoulder he hurt in the previous game against the Cumbrians.
Naylor: "We've also got players nursing bumps and bruises, but at this stage of the season we're no different to any other club in that.
"We've got to get on with it and it looks as though I will have more players available than I had last week."
Swinton's deadline-day signing Jake Emmitt, released by Leigh earlier in the season, is set for his home debut at Heywood Road.
