SCOTT Naylor's Oldham RL side conceded 28 second-half points, slipping to a heavy defeat in the Kingstone Press Championship Shield at Bower Fold.
Trailing 26-12 at the interval, the Roughyeds were unable to contain a rampant Sheffield Eagles from then on in.
Kieran Gill and Dave Hewitt scored two tries apiece for the hosts, with captain Lewis Palfrey kicking four goals.
Eagles ran in 10 tries, from nine different players.
