ON THE CHARGE . . . Failsworth's Zach Rowbottom in the match against Hathershaw
SADDLEWORTH'S Year Seven rugby league team will represent Oldham against Beaumont from Warrington in the Champion Schools' competition.
The local youngsters qualified as borough winners after producing some expansive rugby to defeat Waterhead, Royton and Crompton, Failsworth and Hathershaw in the five-team festival staged in blustery conditions at Waterhead Academy's Counthill site.
Saddleworth have now emerged victorious in all four of this term's local competitions and will now turn their attention towards opposition from further afield in the coming weeks.
Next week the focus switches to the Year Eights competition.
