Saddleworth School Year 7 rugby team

THE Saddleworth Year Seven rugby team defeated Beaumont School from Warrington 14-12 to progress to the quarter-final stage of the North-West Schools' Cup.

A last-gasp try from Nolan Tupaea, goaled by Jack Sinfield, sealed Saddleworth's victory.

WE'VE been asked to point out that a closely-contested Oldham Amateur Rugby League Under-13s Junior Cup final ended 22-18 for Rochdale Mayfield against Waterhead, not 26-6 as was stated in last week's 'Youth Club'.

Waterhead's Joel Cunniffe was the star player.

Max Gilbert, who was pictured scoring a try, plays for St Anne's, and not Waterhead.
