Hulme boys are the tops

HULME were the big winners in the boys' events at the Oldham Senior Schools' Swimming Championships, which were staged at the plush new pool at Oldham Sports Centre.
Hulme won three of the age group categories - the Year Seven, Nine and 10/11 competitions.
Crompton house were triumphant in the Year Eight category.
To cap a terrific day of sport, Hulme's team of Jacob Birtles, Tom Sanderson, Tiger Edwards and Tristan Lux also won the prestigious Brown Shield competition, which is spread across all age groups.

Year Seven: 1, Hulme; 2, Blue Coat; 3, Crompton House. Year Eight: 1, Crompton House; 2, Hulme; 3, Blue Coat/Saddleworth. Year Nine: 1, Hulme; 2, Crompton House; 3, Blue Coat. Years 10/11: 1, Hulme; 2, Blue Coat; 3, Saddleworth. Brown Shield: Hulme.
Overall boys' result -
1, Hulme; 2, Crompton House; 3, Blue Coat.
