IT was action all the way at the latest Oldham Primary Schools' Cross-Country League race which was staged at Chadderton Hall Park.
The team honours were spread around during a breathless meeting.
St Matthew's won the Years Three/Four girls' event, while Thorp finished second.
St Joseph's emerged victorious in the Years Five/Six girls' event, while Hulme were runners-up on the day.
In the boys' events, Thornham St James' triumphed in the Years Three/Four age group, while Hulme were tops in the Years Five/Six category.
Results -
Years Three/Four girls': 1, St Matthew's; 2, Thorp; 3, Thornham St James'. Years Five/Six: 1, St Joseph's; 2, Hulme. Years Three/Four boys': 1, Thornham St James'; 2, Hulme; 3, Mills Hill. Years Five/Six: 1, Hulme; 2, Thornham St James'.
Hulme's team currently lead the overall league standings, just ahead of Thornham St James'.
