CHAMPION EFFORT . . . Year Nine winners Crompton House, who beat Hulme in the final
THE Oldham Senior Schools' League Cup finals were staged at the Lancaster Club on Broadway, with Blue Coat and Crompton House both winning two of the five age group trophies up for grabs on the day.
Blue Coat's team emerged triumphant in the Year Seven showpiece, though only after a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
The match against Crompton House had ended 2-2 in normal time.
Newman were victorious in the Year Eight final, seeing off Crompton House 4-2.
Meanwhile, the Year Nine final also went to penalties, with Crompton House this time victorious after their tie against Hulme had ended 4-4.

Year Seven final: Blue Coat 2, Crompton House 2 (Blue Coat won on penalties); Year Eight: Newman 4, Crompton House 2; Year Nine: Hulme 4, Crompton House 4 (Crompton House won on penalties).
Next week the focus switches to the Year 10 and 11 finals.
