League Cup final thrillers

THE Oldham Senior Schools' League Cup finals were staged at the Lancaster Club on Broadway, with Blue Coat and Crompton House both winning two of the five age group trophies up for grabs on the day.

In the Year 10 showpiece, Crompton House were in terrific form as they romped to a 5-0 victory against Waterhead, while Blue Coat eased to victory in the Year 11 final, edging out North Chadderton 2-1.

Year 10 final: Crompton House 5, Waterhead 0; Year 11: Blue Coat 2, North Chad 1.
