THE Radclyffe Athletics Complex was the stage for the action-packed field events at the annual Oldham Secondary Schools' Athletics Championships.
The team from Newman College emerged triumphant this year as they were crowned overall champions in the boys' and girls' competitions.
Results -
Boys' Year 10: 1, Newman; 2, Crompton House; 3, Saddleworth. Year Nine: 1, Newman; 2, Hulme; 3, Crompton House. Year Eight: 1, Newman; 2, Saddleworth; 3, Crompton House. Year Seven: 1, Oasis/Crompton House; 3, Royton and Crompton/Newman. Overall winners: Newman College.
Girls' Year 10: 1, Newman; 2, Saddleworth; 3, Crompton House. Year Nine: 1, Newman; 2, Saddleworth; 3, Hulme/Crompton House. Year Eight: 1, Newman; 2, Bluecoat/Hulme. Year Seven: 1, Newman; 2, Blue Coat; 3, Crompton House. Overall winners: Newman College.
Attention switches to the track events tomorrow, also at Radclyffe athletics centre.
