THERE was plenty of exciting action as the Oldham Primary Schools' water polo tournament finals day took place at the Oldham Leisure Centre.
A total of 24 of the town's primary schools initially took part in the event as they all aimed to reach finals day.

The schools that reached that stage were Alt, Hodge Clough, Broadfield, Medlock Valley, St Anne's (Greenacres) and St Margaret's.
Finals day was extremely close, with the top three schools all finishing on the same points.
The finishing positions were determined by goal difference, and it was Hodge Clough who emerged eventual victors by just a single goal.
Results -
1, Hodge Clough; 2, St Anne's (Greenaces); 3, St Margaret's.
