THE teams from Crompton House won both the boys and the girls overall gold medals at the Oldham Schools' Track Athletics Championships, which were staged at the Radclyffe Sports complex.
CATEGORIES
In the boys' event, Crompton House won three of the four year group categories, though the Year 10 top-billing was shared with the team from Newman.
Newman won the Year Nine age group outright.
Boys' results -
Year Seven: 1, Crompton House; 2, Oasis; 3, Newman. Year Eight: 1, Crompton House; 2, Saddleworth; 3, Oasis. Year Nine: 1, Newman; 2, Saddleworth; 3, Crompton House. Year 10: 1, Newman and Crompton House; 3, Oasis.
Overall winners: Crompton House.
Next week the focus switches to the girls' tournament.
