On track for girls' glory

ATHLETES from Crompton House won both the boy's and the girls' overall gold medals at the Oldham Schools' Track Championships, which were staged at the Radclyffe Sports complex.

In the girls' event, Crompton House won both the Year Eights and Year 10s competitions. They were runners-up in Year Sevens.

CATEGORY

Newman tasted victory in Year Sevens section and Saddleworth came out on top in the Year Nines category.

Girls' results -

Year Sevens: 1, Newman; 2, Crompton House; 3, North Chadderton. Year Eights: 1, Crompton House; 2, Saddleworth; 3, Newman. Year Nines: 1, Saddleworth; 2, North Chadderton; 3, Newman. Year 10s: 1, Crompton House; 2, Saddleworth; 3, Newman and Royton and Crompton.

Overall winners: Crompton House.
