Werneth go clear

WERNETH stole a march on their rivals as they regained top spot in the CLL under-18 Whittaker Cup.
With all the other games rained off, Werneth managed to beat both the weather and Crompton.
Crompton were restricted to 84 for nine from their overs, Werneth making 88 for one in reply.
Werneth hold a two-point lead over Heywood, with Rochdale a further two points behind in third place.
