Ace Askew leads way

OLIVIA ASKEW took pride of place for Oldham Aquatics swimming team in the 10 years age group at the City of Liverpool long-course sprint open meeting at the new 50-metre pool at Wavertree.
She came away with seven medals — gold in the 100 metre butterfly, silvers in the 50m butterfly and 200m Individual Medley, and bronze in 50 and 100m freestyle, 50m backstroke and breaststroke events.
For the boys in the same age group, Kyle Clegg was bronze medallist in the 50m breaststroke event.
In the 11 years age group, Dylan Green collected a bronze in the 50m freestyle.
Hannah Clegg was gold medal winner in the 12/13 years 200 Individual Medley, adding bronze in the 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke, while Rebecca Driver took silver in the 100m breaststroke and Charlotte Ashworth claimed bronze in both the 50m and 100m freestyle.
Harry Entwistle was gold medallist in the 50m breaststroke, adding silver in both the 100m breaststroke and 200IM.
Ian Martin also collected a bronze in the 50m breaststroke.
Bronze medals were won in the 14 years and over age group by Sophie Kenny in the 100m butterfly and George Morreal in the 100m backstroke.
