Rochdale and Oldham Youth League: Morrison leads Heyside recovery

HEYSIDE Juniors under-13s have made a mixed start to the new Rochdale and Oldham Youth League season.
After losing 7-2 to Springhead in midweek — Ross Morrison and Justin McDonald scored the consolation goals — they bounced back by beating Rochdale St Clements 8-3.
Morrison (three), Thomas Ireland, Danny Barnes, Kieran Leach, Joe Gledhill and Max Tolley did the damage.
The under-15s had a 15-1 win over newcomers Shawclough who, despite the scoreline, kept going to the end.
Joe Burlison led the way with five goals, James Allen and Matthew Dell netted four each and Paul Mawson and birthday-boy Daniel Robertson — pushed forward late-on from sweeper — completed the scoring.
ETHAN Lord opened the scoring for Chadderton Park under-12s against newcomers Kingsway, before Josh O’Donnell added two more to complete a 3-0 win.
TWO goals apiece from Lewis Henderson and Tom Maloney, plus Callum Buckley and Charlie Burton efforts, yielded a 6-3 success for Chaddy End FC under-12s over Chadderton Park.
The under-15s, meanwhile, bagged 21 goals without reply against luckless Santos Youth.
Anthony Gibson struck four times, Curtis Ingham, Aiden Ball, Hayden McNally and Ryan Cobain hit hat-tricks, Chase Harrison and Ryan Atkins scored two each, and there was one for Adam Harrison.
East Manchester League
LEVEL at 1-1 after normal time, Moorside Juniors under-16s eventually lost 4-2 on penalties against Stalybridge Celtic in the East Manchester League Cup.

CHADDY End FC under-15s and Westbury Sports fought out a goalless draw in the Bury and Radcliffe Youth League.
Bowlee Junior League
CHADDY End FC under-11s, with James Dwyer (two), Riley Hammil, Aiden Young and Jack Prichard getting the goals, recorded a 5-3 win over Bury Amateurs in the Bowlee Junior League.
