Schoolboys suffer setback

OLDHAM Schools under-15s suffered a setback to their Greater Manchester Schools’ League campaign when they went down 3-1 at Stockport.
The town team, who were held to a thrilling 4-4 draw by Bury in their opening league game of the season, went behind after only seven minutes.
They were rocked again when Stockport added a second after half an hour, but they had the better of the early exchanges after the interval and reduced the deficit with a Scott Dawson (Royton and Crompton) effort, only for Stockport to quickly restore their two-goal cushion.
The under-15s will look to bounce back at Trafford on Saturday (10.30am).
