A TOURING team from Australia was taught a footballing lesson by Year 11 pupils from Failsworth School and Sports College.
Waverley College, from New South Wales, were beaten 7-0 in the friendly.
The visit was organised through Dave Shaw, from the Failsworth School PE department, and forms part of a 21-day trip to the UK and Paris for the young Aussies.
They took in the Manchester City v Everton Premier League game 24 hour later and watched fellow countryman Tim Cahill score a last-gasp winner.
The team also had a tour of Old Trafford during their stay in the north west.
