Schools Soccer
Under-14s sitting pretty
OLDHAM Schools under-14s lead the Greater Manchester Schools’ League table at the midway point of the season.
The youngsters have hit top form in 2008 and they remain unbeaten in the league after victories against Trafford, Wigan, Tameside and Salford and a 1-1 draw with Manchester.
That set of results has left them sitting pretty at the start of the New Year, with Bury trailing by a point in second place.
The under-14s, who resume their league programme with a trip to Bolton in two weeks’ time, are also in the last-eight of the Talbot Cup, where they face a home tie against Tameside.
