OLDHAM under-15s footballers must try again to make it through to the last four of the Greater Manchester Schools’ County Cup after their quarter-final clash against Bolton was postponed due to freezing weather conditions.
The local lads have struggled to find their form this season, but they ran out comfortable 3-1 winners against Bolton in a Greater Manchester Schools’ League game on a fortnight ago.
The quarter-final tie has been re-arranged for Saturday, February 21, at the Lancaster Club, kick off 10.30a.m, and team manager David Hay will be hoping that his side can put in another sparkling performance against Bolton and book their place in the next round.
A win for the local youngsters would see them take on Salford in the last four with all semi-final ties scheduled to take place on or before Saturday, March 7.
