Royton in cup final

ROYTON Town under-18s clinched a place in the Bury and Radcliffe Youth League’s Regan Cup final with a 5-3 extra-time win over Walshaw Sports.

Ben Ashworth, Tom Dale, Carl Caffrey, Reece Hursthouse and an own goal made up Town’s tally.

The pick of the goals was Caffrey’s effort, a superb free-kick which took the tie in extra time.

CROMPTON Villa under-12s, thanks to goals from Jack Johnson and Lewis Wood, drew 2-2 with Rochdale St Clements in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.
