SIX pupils from Counthill School have excelled in their chosen sports.
The sextet have either attracted the attention of national selectors or have enjoyed medal success.
Kerry Hopkins, a member of Oldham Netball Club and Northern Thunder, has attended an England under-17s training camp at Loughborough.
Rugby league stars of the future Daniel Bridge and Kristian Bell played for England under-16s against France.
Danny Yates, another fine rugby league prospect, pulled on an England under-15s shirt against Wales.
Shomari Simmonds has been selected for the England under-16s basketball team, while Adam Howard has carried all before him on the local and national cross-country scene.
