CLUTCHING eight trophies, Chadderton Park FC can reflect on the most successful season in their 30-year history.

The extensive silverware collection is made up of seven league titles and a knock-out cup.
Committee member Craig Simpson said: ‘We’ve always had a good reputation off the pitch of being a well-run club, but winning trophies hasn’t been one of our strengths.

“However, it seems to be coming together now and even the younger ones at seven and eight years of age, who play non-competitive football, are doing well.

“The changing rooms at our new ground at Chadderton Fold are nearly complete, so everything is looking positive for the future.”

Chadderton Park dominated mini-soccer in the North Bury Junior League.

The two under-nines, Eagles and Lions, won their divisions, while the ‘A’ and ‘B’ sides at under-10s also finished top of their respective tables.

Under-11s Lions also tasted title success in the North Bury Junior League, so to under-11s Eagles in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.

The under-18s were crowned Bury and Radcliffe Youth League champions.

Chadderton Park’s success also filtered through to the girls, with the under-12s beating Heyside Angels 3-1 in the final of the Oldham Girls League Cup.
