Oldham’s youngsters in nine-wicket romp

OLDHAM under-13s defeated Werneth by nine wickets at the Pollards.

Batting first, Werneth were dismissed for 76 with Joseph Harrison Brown (four for 16), Jacob Rothwell (three for 9) and Joe Hulme (one for 7) taking wickets for Oldham.

In reply, Oldham reached their target for the loss of only one wicket with nine overs to spare.

Liam Hodkinson (27) and Jacob Rothwell (26) both retired.
