FORMED in April, Shaw Stars under-12s have hit the ground running in their quest for silverware.
They won the Colwyn Bay Cup — an 11-a-side competition — and the seven-a-side Chester Cup.
Shaw Stars were also runners-up in their section in the Altrincham Football Festival — another sevens tournament.
Come September, Dave Burrows’ side will be gunning for glory in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League, with home matches taking place at Hollinwood Cricket Club, Lime Lane.
