Owen honoured by FA

BOUNDARY Park Juniors coach Owen Stansfield has been honoured by the Football Association.
The 47-year-old, from Moorside, has received the ‘Football Workforce Certificate’ which is a commendation from the FA.
The citation, which was signed by leading FA official Sir Trevor Brooking, stated: “Awarded in recognition of your outstanding contribution to football.”
Stansfield, who manages the under-11s, has been coaching for six years at the club and was recently also appointed the club’s development officer.
He has completed his level one coaching certificate. He takes level two next month, with his eventual aim to gain the UEFA ‘B’ badge.
Boundary Park, who cater for youngsters aged from five and also have one open age team, are on the look-out for players at all ages as well as sponsorship.
